Mrs. Wilhamena Logan, 88, of 909 Mountain Rd. Danville, VA, departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2024 at SOVAH Health Danville.
She was born March 30, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, VA. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Matilda Fitzgerald Womack. She was married to Charlie Logan, who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ray Charles and Garry Logan, a granddaughter, Jenneka Fluellen and a sister, Nancy McLaughlin.
She was a member of Shockoe Baptist Church, a member of the Senior Choir and a member of Shockoe Courts of Calanthe Lodge. She was employed by Pittsylvania County School System.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy L. Logan (Annette) of Richmond, VA, and Bishop Elmer E. Logan (Terry) of Fredericksburg, VA; four daughters, Gazette Logan of Durham, NC, Brendolyn Snyder of Danville, VA, Frances Lynch (Sylvia) of Richmond, VA, and Donna Logan of Fairfax, VA; eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, Elma Logan, Joseph Logan and James Logan (Juanita); two sisters- in law, Catherine Jones (Thomas) and Rosa Dodson, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 12 Noon from Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church, Java, VA with Rev. Antonel A. Myler, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
